TTBB Choir Information

August, 2024

Dear ACDA Member,

At our Michigan ACDA Fall Conference this year we will be continuing the Multigenerational Choir featuring Tenors and Basses under the direction of Erich Wangeman. This choral experience will be open to all high school, college and community choirs as well as individual ACDA members who want to sing together. Thank you to those who have already expressed interest. We are in the final stages of planning and it is time for all directors and individuals who indicated interest in this project to commit. In this email you will find general information as you begin to make your final plans to participate in this experience. Carefully read through the expectations of all participants and if you are still planning to join in the fun, complete the registration form and provide the registration payment.

In order for this experience to be the best possible for all participants, we ask that you commit to:

  • Purchasing and preparing the music with correct notes, rhythms, score markings (provided by Erich Wangeman in mid-September) and be able to sing the music with confidence and accuracy; music will not have to be memorized

  • Complete the registration form and provide payment of $10/participating singer

    • Registration Deadline is: Friday, September 20.

  • All participating singers must attend all rehearsals held at the fall conference at Central Michigan University School of Music.

    • Friday, October 18 (4:00 – 6:00 PM)

    • Saturday, October 19 (9:00 – 11:00 AM; 1:00 – 3:30 PM) + 5:00 PM Concert

Repertoire to be performed

Registration Follow-up Form – sent out the week of September 21

Once registration has been completed, a form will be sent asking for specific information about the participating singers. Directors of choirs and individual singers will be asked to complete the form with specific singer information: names, voice part, height and an opportunity to list any specific needs individuals may have that would require a specific placement within the voice sections (needs to be seated for rehearsals/performance, uses crutches, etc.).
