I wanted to make sure that you, as Women’s Choir R&S Chair for ACDA-MI, are aware of a great new composer, great new piece, and a great new publishing company, Kandinsky Music.
Written primarily for collegiate and auditioned community women’s choirs, but also accessible for very select high school ensembles such as district- state- or national-level high school honors women’s choirs, multi-school high-school womens’ choral festivals, etc., Flying, by Rachel Fogarty is a bold, beautiful new work that will appeal to singers, directors, and audiences alike. It’s oboe, violin, and cello accompaniment require commitment and planning to undertake but will make it one of those truly memorable pieces your singers will cherish having sung for many years afterwards. It’s simply an astonishing piece.
I would be happy to send you a couple copies for you to review in hand. Flying will be featured at Eastern Div. ACDA in Rhode Island in February, one of only ten pieces selected for the Women’s Choir reading session at that event.

Flying can now be purchased from your favorite music retailers or online retailers – we’re partnering with more and more outlets each month.
